
Senior Ocean Freight Import Specialist

· To lead the planning and execution of BMSB seasonal protocols, liaising with origin offices, customs brokers, and shipping lines to ensure compliance and timely cargo movement.
· To ensure accurate and timely reporting of import cargo, maintaining visibility across shipments and supporting internal and external stakeholders with relevant updates.
· To ensure that all relevant quality KPIs are met or overachieved on a consistent basis.
· To manage EDO handovers and oversee billing activities, ensuring documentation accuracy and alignment with operational timelines.
· To ensure the implementation of necessary regulatory compliance procedures relating to commodity and locations for shipments.
· To build and maintain strong relationships with CFS and shipping lines to streamline import operations, resolve issues, and optimise service delivery.
· To resolve issues in day-to-day delivery and implement best practices, focusing on increasing effectiveness and efficiency.
· And to execute any other duties assigned by your manager that fall within the general scope of the roleKey Accountabilities
- To proactively oversee the customer shipments to ensure satisfaction at every touchpoint, fostering loyalty and driving repeat business.
- To minimise cost on every job file and maximise gross profit on every job file.
- To resolve issues with operational workflow and/or based on customer feedback, only escalating to your supervisor when unable to do so.
- To ensure all required documentation are in place as per the shipment requirements/SOP.
- To provide training and guidance as needed and/or directed by your manager to ensure team success
