The Faculty of Engineering, University of New South Wales (UNSW), is currently seeking a Head of School for the School of Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications. Reporting to the Faculty Dean, the appointee will ideally be a respected scholar with the energy, resilience, and vision to take on the leadership of the School and engage meaningfully with both internal and external stakeholders. You will display outstanding communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to drive the development of staff and further strengthening of the School's capability across research, teaching, and especially engagement with industry and the community.

The SchoolThe UNSW School of Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications (EE&T) is one of the largest and most prestigious schools of its kind in Australia. In the last 70 years, our school has grown from a purely teaching institution to one that has made important contributions to the development of electrical engineering in Australia and globally. The School is prominent within the Faculty of Engineering, currently with approximately 1300 students and 40 academic staff, with an operating budget of around $14 million.Our academic staff have research focus in areas including Energy Systems, Nano/Micro Systems, System and Control, Signal Processing, Quantum Computing, and Telecommunications (wireless, data networks, Photonics).   • A respected scholar, normally at a Professorial level, in an appropriate discipline with an understanding and appreciation of the values and roles of a major university operating in an international context.
