Send your responses toServices Australia is seeking to identify suitable Candidates to perform the role of BusinessAnalysts, Systems Analysts and Solution Design Managers up to manager levels to supportthe agency to document business requirements, capture business needs, and design, create,evaluate, and document ICT solutions in new and existing ICT systems.Business Analysts analyse and integrate information provided by customers, staff,Information Technology (IT) professionals, executives, and other internal and externalstakeholders. They are responsible for understanding the core needs and requirements ofstakeholders and the agency. Business Analysts often play a central role in aligning theneeds of business units with the capabilities delivered by IT or business activities and mayserve as a translator between stakeholder groups. Business Analysts exercise a degree ofindependent judgement and make decisions within defined parameters that rely on skills andknowledge.The level of Security Clearance required for a Role will be confirmed at the time of Contract.Job Title Senior Business AnalystAPS Equivalent Level APS6Main Duties Duties may include, but not limited to, some or all of the following:assist in defining and clarifying business needs to inform action plans, solution reports or business cases for consideration by senior staffliaise with stakeholders to understand, gather, and analyse their requirements and concerns in line with the agency's business objectivesidentify potential business needs to recommend improvements for consideration by senior staff and provide analysis, verification, and validation on the recommended improvementsconduct stakeholder analysis to assist in effectively understanding cross business functionsfacilitate communication across business units with a range of stakeholders and represent the agency by promoting its interests at a range of forumsassist with managing requirements and communication through scope, traceability, and maintenanceproduce documents that may include risk analysis, scope modelling, problem tracking and sequence diagramsprepare or contribute to change management plans and/or communication plansparticipate and perform brainstorming, workshops, prototyping, observation, or interviews, and confirm or report on resultsprepare and contribute to clear business and stakeholder requirement documentation including prioritising, organising, and verifying the requirementsexamine and organise requirements to record and identify dependencies, relationships, and logical sequencesreview project documentation and agency processes to assist with determining deliverablescontribute to risk analysis, identify issues and problem tracking to assist senior staff with the mitigation of potential issuescontribute towards the requirements management plan, including testing and quality checking activitiescontribute towards or manage performance reporting activities and/or variance analysisprepare textual statements, matrices, diagrams, and formal models to contribute to the analysis of requirementsMain skills/attributes Ability to:Requirements definition and management REQM - Level 3Software design SWDN - Level 3Ability to:communicate effectively and adapt communication styles appropriate to the audienceperform strong research, analysis, apply creativity and problem solvebuild and develop internal and external stakeholder relationshipsnegotiate with and influence others to achieve optimal outcomesfacilitate groups, workshops, and meetingsmanage conflict using appropriate strategies and determine issues for escalationdemonstrate system and lateral thinking with a cognitive viewmake decisions using good judgement, expertise, and knowledgeestablish clear work plans, as well as prioritise workload and timeframes for self and othersEvery application requires to address selection criteria as part of application submission.Please complete the below forms.
