Make a difference in our community!We have a six-month vacancy for a super-motivated Digital Communications Officer to manage City of Whittlesea’s social media channels and act as a digital media specialist within council’s Public Affairs team. In this role, you will coordinate and oversee the development, scheduling and publishing of engaging content across a range of organic and paid digital channels. This position will moderate comments across our social media platforms to foster productive discussion. You will monitor the performance of our social media channels and work proactively to grow our social media following and reach within the community.About you
You’re tertiary qualified in a relevant field, such as communications, media or journalism, but it’s your experience in creating and running social media campaigns that makes you our ideal candidate.You have managed a range of social and digital platforms in a professional capacity and have contributed to building and growing a loyal following.Great ideas and storytelling ability come easily to you and you know how to deliver engaging social media content that resonates with the target audience. Excellent attention to detail is also essential, as you’ll be delivering accurate, error-free copy and working to defined Council processes and approvals.You’re energised by a fast-paced environment and have excellent interpersonal skills.
