The RoleJoin a dynamic team providing specialist elective and trauma Shoulder and Elbow services while also contributing to general orthopaedic trauma management.Benefits:
Total remuneration package of up to $528,432 p.a., including base salary range of between $210,332 - $244,313 p.a. (L18-L24) and $251,527 - $266,677 p.a. (L25-L27).Additional benefits:

The LocationIt is situated on the banks of the Fitzroy River and is known for its rich agricultural and mining industries. With a population of around 80,000 people, it is a bustling regional hub offering a range of amenities and services. The city boasts a warm subtropical climate, making it a popular destination for outdoor activities such as hiking, fishing, and camping.The FacilityThis 305-bed facility serves as the primary referral hospital for Central Queensland, offering a comprehensive range of specialist medical services, including Emergency Medicine, General Medicine, Cardiology, Renal Medicine, Palliative Care, Psychiatry, Rehabilitation, Geriatric Medicine, and Paediatrics. Surgical specialties include General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Urology, ENT, and Obstetrics & Gynaecology. The hospital also provides Intensive Care and Anaesthetic services. Additionally, various clinical services are delivered by visiting specialists from tertiary hospitals across Queensland. The Cancer Care Unit is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, ensuring high-quality care for local patients. On-site imaging and treatment facilities include CT, MRI, nuclear medicine, and dedicated oncology suites.
The Requirements
  • MBBS or equivalent eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
  • Registration or eligibility for registration as a Specialist in Orthopaedic Surgery with AHPRA. This will require Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in the specialty of Orthopaedic Surgery, or equivalent recognised qualification.
  • Completion of a Shoulder and Elbow subspecialty fellowship is strongly recommended.
