Job Category: Commercial Contracts and ProcurementJob Description:Downer's Energy & Utilities division is seeking an experienced Procurement & Contracts Manager - Major Projects to play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects across Australia, with a strong focus on major capital works programs.Energy & Utilities | Melbourne or Brisbane | Permanent, Full TimeReporting to the Sourcing & Contracting Director, you will shape and drive procurement and contracting strategy throughout the bid and mobilisation phases, working with cross-functional teams and project leadership to ensure successful outcomes across cost, quality and schedule. This is a career-defining opportunity for a procurement professional with Tier 1 infrastructure experience to contribute to nation-shaping projects, influence strategy, and build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and project partners.What You'll DoIn this role, you will:

Lead procurement strategy development for complex, high-value infrastructure projects ($500m-$1bn+).
Manage end-to-end procurement, subcontracting, and vendor engagement across bid and mobilisation phases.
Partner with project leaders, bid teams, and technical experts to deliver commercially sound solutions.
Negotiate and execute major subcontract packages and manage supplier performance to ensure project success.
Integrate ESG, sustainability and supplier diversity initiatives into procurement strategies.

What We're Looking ForWe're seeking a commercially astute leader with:

10+ years' experience in project procurement in the energy, infrastructure or resources sector (Tier 1 preferred).
Proven success in leading high-value bids and tenders.
Experience with complex procurement models, subcontracting and international supply chain management.
Strong negotiation, relationship management and influencing skills.
Relevant tertiary qualifications (commerce, engineering, construction, supply chain or related field); MBA preferred.
