- On a daily basis, participate in various working processes (e.g. guide junior accountant on bookkeeping, review and maintain GL accuracy) and assist in exercising financial control.
- Lead the month-end closing process. including intercompany balance reconciliation, Lease & FA treatment, provisions, thorough financial review and analysis.
- Assist in group consolidation and monthly reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Aid in organising and retaining supporting documents and refine processes for enhanced efficiency and quality.
- Support the analysis of financial data for management reporting to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Prepare statutory annual financial statements and support work papers for consolidated and individual entities.
- Assist in annual audit process, including timely preparation of workpapers and regular engagement with the audit team to manage the process through to sign off.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and oversee the timely filing of returns in various jurisdictions.
- Liaise and work with external Auditors / Tax Agents / Service Providers for timely delivery of service engagements.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external clients/stakeholders to ensure requests are properly attended to.
- Work closely with team members to ensure quality and timely carry out of team functions.
- Tertiary Degree in Business or Commerce with Accounting Major or similar
- 3-5 years of accounting-related experience. CPA/CA qualified.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Mandarin fluency is desirable.
- Exposure to AFSL, trading platforms, financial services, or fund management is a plus.
