Job Description:Project OverviewThe Combat Systems Simulator (CSSIM) is a system used by the Australian Defence Force (ADF) to train the warfighter in naval combat exercises. The CSSIM provides a near-perfect simulated environment that allows scenarios faced in today’s modern battlespace to be exercised within a training environment. DXC, a trusted ADF partner, is a long-standing supplier of custom combat simulation training solutions. CSSIM’s sustained growth presents opportunities for people to support a unique piece of technology whilst also playing a crucial role protecting Australia’s boarders.About the roleWe are looking for an experienced Simulation technician to support the CSSIM solutions at the Navy site. Your primary role is to ensure the availability of the CSSIM for warfighter training and to provide triage and system level support, with extensive training as required, backed by the CSSIM engineering team. You will partner with the Sydney based DXC engineering team, as well as our Navy customer to ensure effectiveness of the CSSIM and provide SME guidance and support on activities and training. Your role will also include ensuring providing feedback from Navy training to the engineering teams to ensure the best possible training solutions are being developed.This permanent position is based in the picturesque Watson’s Bay with occasional travel to Macquarie Park (Sydney, NSW), living and breathing the client training environment.About You - Skills and experienceYou are a customer focused ICT professional with a solid background in onsite support across software, networks and hardware. You love being part of the mission and enjoy a job that matters!You are naturally curious, and you enjoy a challenge and love troubleshooting issues on the spot.
