
Electrical Technician

- Work as part of a strong and cohesive team
- Midweek Roster | 9.5 hour shifts
- Based at Camberwell in the Hunter Valley
- Supervising the installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair of all electrical plant & equipment on site
- Conducting effective preventative & scheduled maintenance and fault-finding work on electrical systems
- Monitoring equipment to ensure it remains fit for purpose, functional and in a safe condition
- Minimum 2 years Underground Coal Mining experience in a similar role (essential)
- Electrical Trade Qualification and Certificate of Proficiency (mandatory)
- Qualifications in Maintenance of Electrical Equipment for Hazardous Areas (highly desirable)
- Experience maintaining Underground Mining Equipment including Conveyor Systems, Joy Development Equipment, CT/DBT Longwall Equipment and Explosive Protected Diesel Plant (SMV, PJB, Jug-A-O)
- A Strong community to safety with strong communication & influencing skills, both written and verbal
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- A positive attitude towards and willingness to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives on site
- Knowledge of Coal Mining WHS legislation requirements
