  • Salary from $126,716 to $144,386 (depending on experience) + 15.4 % superannuation

The roleThe Product Owner is responsible for both representing the business and acting as an escalation point for the business teams while at the same time driving the uplift and modernisation of ASIC's registers, user channels, and interfaces. The Product Owner will also be required to lead Business Analysts in developing high-quality, documented business requirements to enhance product functionality.This role will see you working closely with Senior Leaders, Product Managers, Subject Matter Experts and business teams to ensure the delivered product meets business needs. Additionally, you'll collaborate with the Product Management Team to establish and manage a product backlog for platform applications.More specifically, you will:
  • Collaborate with the Product Management Team to establish a Product Backlog, capturing and documenting business and functional requirements for Platform applications.
  • Partner with the Delivery Team to refine requirements and develop solutions aligned with business needs.
  • Engage with Product Managers, Subject Matter Experts, and Product Leads to build a comprehensive understanding of ASIC's business processes and operational requirements.
  • Work closely with Delivery Teams to define acceptance criteria for solutions developed on the One ASIC Platform.
  • Support Product Managers in coordinating business testing (UAT and PVT), including preparation, execution, and assisting business representatives during testing.
About youThe ideal candidate for the Product Owner role is a strategic, delivery-focused professional with a background in either product ownership or business analysis, supported by strong stakeholder engagement skills. They bring with them extensive experience in documenting and analysing business requirements with a proven ability to translate complex needs into actionable solutions. With a solid track record in managing product backlogs and defining acceptance criteria, they will be able collaborate effectively with delivery teams to ensure solutions meet business objectives.In addition, you will have:
  • Relevant bachelor's degree and/or proven experience in gathering, analysing, and documenting business requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret complex business needs, resolve issues, and document effective solutions.
  • Experienced in building and maintaining strong relationships with both business and technology stakeholders.
  • Proven ability in engaging with business stakeholders to elicit requirements and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Previous experience in a Business Analyst or Product Owner role would be highly advantageous.
