Xavier has two part-time positions available for Occupational Therapists who are inspiring, team players, self-driven, enjoy a varied caseload and are passionate about what they do.About Xavier
We specialise in complex paediatrics and work with children and young people and their families in their homes, in the community and in our clinics.
With an established reputation, we have been making a difference in the lives of children and young people since 1949.
We support our sister company, Centacare Community Services for disability and aged care occupational therapy.Our Occupational Therapists provide a broad range of services and interventions to help our clients achieve their goals. These include functional assessments, development of therapy plans and the delivery of hands-on supports. We assess equipment requirements for the home, community needs and vehicle modifications. Services are delivered in home, in the community, in schools, clinics and work places as preferred by the client.We support a range of clients including:Children, young and older people living with

We have opportunities to join our multidisciplinary team at:
  • Eight Mile Plains (Brisbane South/South West) perfect for someone with assistive technology, and home and vehicle modification experience. Xavier’s main focus is paediatrics, however, this position also provides AT supports for adults. There is also the opportunity to provide hands-on therapy if desired
  • Wooloowin/North Lakes (Brisbane North) suited to an OT who primarily wants to provide developmental assessment and intervention for a paediatric and young adult caseload. There is also the opportunity to provide equipment prescriptions, vehicle and home modifications.
About you
In addition to any site specific role requirements (above), to be successful in your new role you will have:-Experience in child and adult functional and risk assessments, goal setting and support planning
-Strong clinical and non-clinical problem-solving skills
-A person-centred approach that is both professional and empathetic
-Ability to work autonomously and as part of our multi-disciplinary team
-Ability to provide services that are mostly mobile in the community, along with some taking place in Xavier clinics
-Ability to work towards achieving and sustaining billable targets (very reasonable) including business development task
-Ability to effectively utilise IT systems to manage client case load
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Strong organisational and time management skills-A Recognised tertiary degree in Occupational Therapy
-AHPRA registration
-Medicare provider number (or willing to obtain)
-A current (recent) national police check and NDIS Worker Screening Check or willing to obtain
-Current Australian driveru0027s licence and reliable vehicle
-Completion of NDIS Code of Conduct modulesHow to apply
