This is pivotal role in overseeing the integrity of data for all incoming shipments, including documentation and International Trade system data, for both sea and airfreight.You will also manage the performance of service providers in particular freight forwarders to ensure the achievement of KPI's are met.What you'll be doingAs a Customs & Operations Analyst working for Kmart you will:
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data flow between merchandise, supply chain and finance systems for both sea and airfreight shipments, including liaising with freight forwarders and shipping lines across Kmart and Target.
  • Actioning container line and purchase order error reports to ensure data flows continue through the systemic processes and containers are made available.
  • Audit and action Class A receipts v's shipping container quantities ensuring all documents are available for shipments.
  • Ensure data integrity of all airfreight shipments.
  • Management of service level metrics against EDI timelines and reporting into weekly and monthly business reviews.
  • Liaise and manage relationships with origin supply chain teams, freight forwarder and shipping line.
  • Provide support in managing SOP related changes.
  • Provide support in co-ordinating service requirements with our International Freight forwarders.
To be successful in this role you'll have:
  • Minimum of 3 years of Supply Chain operational experience across import and export, preferably within a retail environment.
  • Knowledge of government regulatory requirements related to customs and international trade.
  • Experience using 1-Stop and Cargo Tracking systems.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong planning, analytical, and process management skills.
  • Experience in liaising effectively with all stakeholders internal and external, including suppliers, service providers, and team members.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and operate in a team environment while promoting a one-team approach.
