About the role:The Principal Solution Analyst is responsible for assessing technology platforms and designs application and reporting architecture based on business, functional and non-functional requirements, this includes defining the interaction between application packages, databases and middleware systems in terms of functional and non-functional coverage.The role provides strategic guidance across eHealth projects, offering architectural advice on application and reporting solutions, industry trends, and options analysis to maximise value and efficiency. Providing analysis, design, technical options, best practice usage, and performance optimisation relating to multiple technical disciplines, including application implementation and reporting & analytics – with key focus on Microsoft .Net, Angular JS, Angular and public cloud services.
Demonstrating how the actions and outcomes of this role and work unit impact clients and the department's ability to deliver, or facilitate the delivery of, effective support and services.
Leading the analysis and evaluation of solution options and recommending innovative system solutions, including project costing and delivery proposal.
Providing input to the thought leadership required to deliver strategic initiatives including the design of application and reporting & analytics platforms and to reduce the proliferation of individual systems.
Maintain architectural documentation and artefacts for departmental systems including access and integration.
A tertiary qualification in a relevant Information Technology discipline is highly desirable.
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft .Net, Azure cloud services, Angular and SQL server is essential.
Desirable SkillsExperience with one or more of the following technologies will be considered an advantage:
Driving technical innovation and identifying opportunities where new technologies or practices can be utilised to better lives or improve efficiency/productivity.
Knowledge and experience of Agile Projects and methodologies.
Knowledge of the department and its operating processes and information systems is desirable.
Specialist Expertise
Extensive experience in ICT cloud architecture, technologies and current/emerging industry trends. Proven ability to evaluate stakeholder requirements and develop and present solution options to business, senior management and executive stakeholders.
Extensive experience as a Principal Developer and then as an Architect, working for medium to large government or commercial organisations with software design patterns, development standards and application frameworks. Proven ability in delivering system solutions in an agile environment with expertise in a wide range of disciplines
