AGO is seeking contractor support for Software Tester roles in support of a number of DEF100 Capability Elements. If all DEF100 positions are filled and there are suitable candidates still available, other AGO projects (with vacant roles) may utilise this round to fill their vacancies.The Test Manager will assume responsibility for leading a multi-classification team undertaking testing as a part of an Agile delivery team. The Test Manager will manage, plan and direct the testing of software and systems, with a focus on acceptance testing and project level test strategies, to ensure project deliverables (both technical and non-technical) meet the required business outcome. They will provide advice on best practice approaches to testing and will implement a framework that supports testing of software that is developed in house, in addition to Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) and Government Off the Shelf (GOTS) ICT solutions.The role requires high quality documentation of test processes and outcomes. The program of work has multiple projects which range in size. The successful candidate will be required to work across several of these as well as manage competing priorities.The program of work has multiple projects which range in size.   • Manage, plan and direct testing activities. Provide advice and direction on efficient approaches to testing that streamline software delivery and integration processes.
  • Design, write and run integration scripts. Assess the outcomes and document faults and failures in a clear and concise manner.
  • Work with development teams to produce effective testing solutions that enhance software delivery workflows.
  • Design test cases and test scripts to ensure quality of software is understood before being exposed in production environments.
  • Document technical processes and report risks and faults in accordance with relevant policies and procedures.
  • Support and foster productive working relationships by working cohesively and flexibly with the developer team, the broader program team, key business partners and stakeholder groups.
  • Identify and report on any blockages that may affect the schedule of work.
