Join us with this rare career opportunity to make a difference and leave a legacy, helping today's children navigate their tomorrowJob DescriptionAbout the roleThe role will be responsible for the management and accuracy of our JAG Australia payroll (3,500+ employees) and the leadership of a payroll team of 2 payroll officers. We've also recently gone through a transformation with Micropay as our new payroll system with integrations from Human Force for rostering, time and attendance data.In this role, you'll:
Identify and lead opportunities to simplify, standardise and automate the payroll processes to deliver a return on investment
Understand systems integration with the payroll platform including Human Force (rostering, time and attendance) and other People systems (e.g. Smart Recruiters)
Run and maintain the new Micropay platform
Provide management reporting to JAG up to and including board reporting
Work closely with our Finance team to deliver payroll financial reporting and integration
Identify, develop and implement payroll governance improvements
Build a cross-trained payroll team that can support each other during leave and short notice absences
About youYou might have worked in OSHC or other ECEC business, Retail, Hospitality, Aged Care or Health where you have dealt with a large casual workforce working under an Award. Other experience may include:
Experience in Micropay and Human Force is strongly desired but not mandatory
Previous leadership of a payroll function with a fortnightly payroll of about 2,900 people
Exposure to the Children Services Award or similar Award with casual employee provisions
Demonstrated success in payroll business process improvement including change leadership
Demonstrated experience in payroll reporting including providing Executive leaders with insights on workforce performance and cost
Exposure to common remuneration frameworks is a plus but not essential
