- Oversee the daily operations of the breakfast buffet, ensuring seamless service and presentation that reflects luxury and excellence.
- Lead and inspire a team to provide an elevated guest experience, from warm welcomes to personalised touches.
- Work with the team to ensure all buffet stations are immaculately presented, replenished efficiently, and maintained to five-star quality.
- Uphold Forbes standards, ensuring attention to detail, intuitive service, and genuine hospitality.
- Work closely with the culinary and service teams to ensure an exceptional and consistent dining experience.
- Train and mentor team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness.
- Greets and welcomes guests entering the restaurant. The individual is responsible for taking dining reservations, assigning and seating guests at the table.
- Answer phones and take dining reservations from guests, ask and record preferences or special requests/occasions, and relay this information to kitchen colleagues or management.
- Be the Champion in menu knowledge of the restaurant and delivers stellar recommendations and food-beverage pairings to enhance guests' dining experience.
- Coordinate with Runners and Chefs on the length of wait, re-cook or special requests, as well as product availability.
- Analyze guest feedback from direct feedback, comment card or any online reviews and providing strategic direction to continuously improve overall rating.
- Mentor and guide individual team members' growth and identify short to long-term goals to achieve and ensure high colleague engagement and welfare.
- Conducts the pre-service shift briefing in the absence of the Assistant Manager/Manager.
- Ensure all opening and closing checklists are properly completed each day.
- A General Education Certificate or Diploma in Hospitality Management with a focus on Restaurant Management is preferred.
- Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage.
- Familiarity with restaurant systems such as Symphony or Seven Rooms.
- Exceptional communication skills paired with a passion for guest relations.
- Strong command of written and spoken English.
- Available to work on a rotating roster (early mornings, weekends, and public holidays) across a 7-day operation.
