We're looking for a IT Asset Manager to join us on a 12 month contract to lead upliftment of our IT asset management which includes application, service, infrastructure, and data portfolio.This is a brand-new, first-of-its-kind role at Pepperstone, in which you will focus on establishing and managing the lifecycle of various application, service, and infrastructure components, liaising with suppliers, and coordinating with other departments to ensure the asset database is current and that the software meets business requirements.To thrive in this role, you will be focused on getting things done. You should have solid experience supporting asset management software. This includes handling different types of software, whether they're cloud-based, on-premises, or a mix of both. It's a plus if you're familiar with using the Jira toolset.Your key responsibilities include:
- Update and support the process of asset management across its full lifecycle - selection, procurement, onboarding, integration, support, updating, patching, archiving, and offboarding.
- Support the tools for effective asset management and record keeping, ensure that the database is current and continuously updated.
- Develop and continuously update a register of assets in use, tracking multiple parameters (including risk assessment based on the recorded parameters).
- Support access management and access review process.
- Monitor billing and aid in the payment process to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Collaborate with various business departments to identify and procure the best assets for business needs.
- Foster effective working relationships with software suppliers to ensure high-quality services.
- Identify functionality improvements in business assets that will improve staff's ability to do their job including any required business case, trial or assessment to validate potential value.
- Previous experience in asset management business application support or a similar role.
- Proficiency in database management and data analytics.
- Familiarity with ITIL or similar IT service management frameworks
- Understanding of IT budgeting and cost management.
- Experience with software licensing lifecycle.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex topics to non-technical users.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and compliance regulations would be a plus.
