You'll work on Queensland Rail's passenger rollingstock, undertaking scheduled wagon maintenance inspections and repairs, component overhaul and testing.Your role will involve both workshop and outdoor environments, requiring physical fitness to handle equipment and terrain.Key responsibilities:

Perform mechanical work on Railway Rollingstock, sub-assemblies, and manufactured parts.
Exposure to pneumatic systems and tools for mechanical servicing
Read and interpret technical schematics to diagnose and resolve faults
Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues, leveraging technical drawings and engineering best practices.
Communicate effectively with team members, customers, and contractors.

What you'll bring:

Trade-qualified mechanical fitter or equivalent
MIG/ARC Welding experience
Valid driver's license.
Ability to work independently and in a team
Continuing commitment to a Zero Harm workplace
