We're seeking a Network Automation Engineer for a 6-month contract with view to extend to support the automation and optimisation of our Cisco-based infrastructure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) networking environment.This is a hands-on engineering role focused on building scalable, automated solutions using Python and Ansible-ideal for an engineer who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges.Key Responsibilities:

Automate configuration and management of Cisco routing and switching infrastructure using Ansible and Python.
Integrate network automation workflows with GCP networking services.
Design and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) pipelines to streamline network operations.
Support network deployments, troubleshoot automation workflows, and ensure high availability.
Collaborate with infrastructure and cloud teams to align on security and performance best practices.

Proven experience with Cisco networking (routing, switching, IOS/XE/XR).
Strong scripting skills in Python.
Solid understanding of GCP networking
Experience with Git and CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins).
