As a Service Delivery Officer, you’ll contribute to the delivery of high-quality government services within the Service SA Customer Service Centre and Virtual Contact Centre. Reporting to the Customer Service Centre Manager, you’ll work collaboratively as part of a team, helping to foster a positive and customer-focused culture.You’ll play a key role in delivering a wide range of services to the public, including vehicle registration, driver licensing and accreditation, and processing related documentation. You’ll also support applications for government licences, permits, grants, and assistance schemes, ensuring all interactions comply with relevant policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.Your contribution will be seen through:
- Delivering accurate and efficient customer service across multiple channels, including face-to-face, phone, email, and online.
- Processing and receipting documentation in line with government financial and audit guidelines
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, and services to support informed service delivery
- Ensuring customers are aware of their rights and obligations under legislation administered by Service SA
- Supporting a positive team environment and contributing to continuous improvement in service delivery

- Clear and respectful communication, with the ability to respond to sensitive matters using tact, diplomacy, and confidentiality.
- Confidence interpreting documents and procedures, and following established guidelines to deliver consistent outcomes.
- A collaborative approach, contributing to team priorities and helping meet service performance objectives.
- Strong organisational skills, managing high volumes of work with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Sound knowledge of government programs and policies, and the ability to apply relevant legislation and regulations in day-to-day tasks.
- Proven ability to work independently or as part of a team, using initiative and judgement to plan, prioritise, and meet deadlines.
Prior to employment with the Department the successful candidate will be required to provide:
- A National Police Check (NPC) is required prior to employment in the Department for Infrastructure and Transport which must be renewed every three years.
- A Working with Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to employment with the Department for Infrastructure and Transport, which must be renewed every five years before expiry.
- Must be prepared to be reassigned to different Service SA locations during periods of staff absences and high workloads or as required to meet business needs.
- Some out of hours and weekend work, along with some intra/interstate travel requiring overnight stays, may be required.
Temporary (12 Months) with flexible working hours arrangements.
