You will join a growing team of 11 Consultant Anaesthetists, 7 Registrars and 2 PGY1s that is complemented by an Acute Pain Nurse Consultant and a Research Nurse Co-ordinator.
The Anaesthetics Department is an accredited ANZCA training site and part both the Eastern Victorian Anaesthetic Training Scheme and the new Regional Victorian Anaesthetic Training Scheme.
You will provide anaesthetic services for a wide range of specialities, including: general surgery, orthopaedics, obstetrics and gynaecology, ENT, urology, dental, endoscopy and ERCP, medical imaging and paediatric surgery (down to 2 years).
As a Consultant Anaesthetist you will participate in providing safe, efficient and effective patient-centred anaesthetic and acute pain management inpatient services, and all Anaesthetists are expected to be able to provide routine anaesthesia services and cover on-call after hours.
You will also responsible for providing excellent clinical expertise, service and supervision to junior medical staff and other relevant staff in Anaesthetics, supported by the Clinical Director.

Requirements

Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) or equivalent
