
Technical Planning Engineer

- Be the key technical lead for custom and made-to-order panels – from initial sales order to factory delivery.
- Create and manage CAD drawings and production-ready designs for non-standard and patterned products.
- Use in-house tools (e.g. Hebel Designer) to import and prepare orders for manufacture.
- Liaise closely with the engineering team to ensure all designs are compliant and “fit for purpose”.
- Interface with customer service, production planners, factory operators, and the CSR tech team to keep projects moving.
- Apply lean principles and continuous improvement to our custom design process.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical queries from the shop floor with confidence.
- Keep stakeholders in the loop at all stages of the process.
- A Diploma or Degree in Civil, Mechanical or Structural Engineering OR significant experience as a structural/technical draftsperson.
- Strong AutoCAD skills and the ability to read and interpret detailed construction drawings.
- 2–5 years' experience in a technical or engineering environment – ideally within manufacturing, building materials, or industrial design.
- Good planning discipline and the ability to manage multiple design projects simultaneously.
- Clear communication style – you can explain complex designs to non-technical audiences.
- A “can-do” attitude, excellent attention to detail, and confidence working both independently and in a cross-functional team.
- Experience with SAP or similar systems.
- Familiarity with wall/floor systems
- Exposure to production environments and lean manufacturing principles.
