Job Category: Trade & CraftJob Description:Great opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Fitter looking to join a thriving team in the Oil Refining industry.Wood is recruiting for a Mechanical Fitter with our maintenance team on a permanent basis at the Ampol Refinery in Brisbane, Australia.Applicants must have full work rights in Australia to be considered for the role.The RoleLocation: Lytton Refinery, site basedThis role is to replace a team member who has moved to another project.Successful applicant with Leading Hand and hazardous area experience would be advantageous.At Wood, we're not just about maintaining infrastructure-we're about transforming industries. Responsibilities:

Pump alignment,
Preservation of rotating and static equipment
Demonstrated experience in pressure testing
Asset maintenance background
Experience with data assessment, ordering spares and recording (Microsoft Excel).

Qualifications:

Trade qualified with proven maintenance experience in heavy industry environments
Knowledge of pumps, valves, vessels, pipework, PSV's etc
Previous rotating, alignment and hazardous area experience would be advantageous
Knowledge of Turbines and ancillary equipment
Hydro testing
Air compressors and associated ancillary equipment
Working at heights (within 3 years from issue)
Confined space (within 3 years from issue)
Willingness and ability to be part of the on call after hours roster
Ability to read and interpret Isometrics P&ID's and mechanical drawings
