This rewarding part-time contract offers the chance to contribute to holistic healthcare at one of South Australia's leading medical facilities.About the role:Reporting to the SALHN Spiritual Care Manager, some of your duties for the role will include:
  • Support patients with diverse beliefs and experiences offering patient centred care
  • Work in an open and collaborative manner, respecting the differing skills, ideas and attitudes of colleagues
  • Out of hours work will be required. The Spiritual Care Chaplains are to be available for the Spiritual Care Service on call roster
  • Provide confidential emotional and spiritual support for patients, their families and staff
  • Develop and facilitate rituals for patients, families and carers as appropriate
  • Document spiritual care in patient medical records which includes recording patient referrals, interventions, and outcomes
About you:
  • Demonstrated commitment to the provision of a sensitive, respectful approach to spiritual, multi-faith and multi-cultural issues
  • Able to provide confidential emotional and spiritual support for patients, their families and staff
  • Relevant experience as a spiritual care practitioner, providing appropriate spiritual care within a faith
  • Well-developed computer and written skills
