This includes adding a new $115 million hospital expansion and renovated facilities to ensure we meet the increasing health care needs of our region.Position SummaryThe Grade 2 Adult Community Health Occupational Therapist provides high quality occupational therapy services to clients referred to the Adult Community Health service, across a variety of funding streams. The position aims to provide a flexible and responsive service that works to meet each consumer’s identified rehabilitation goals. The position involves the provision of client-centred, goal directed occupational therapy treatment programs in the client’s home or in the community rehabilitation centres located across the Bass Coast Health network. The Occupational Therapist promotes the health and independence of clients and facilitates their ability to live safely in the community through active service models. The clinical caseload is varied and may include neurological, orthopaedic, cardiac, spinal, pulmonary and functional decline diagnoses. The Occupational Therapist is responsible for the provision of appropriate clinical management of clients referred, and subsequent consultation with other disciplines as required. This role may be involved in rotations within the Bass Coast Health service in home or centre based teams, as organisational need arises.
