We're seeking a Graduate Analyst to support a government client in enhancing their data-driven decision-making capabilities. This role offers exposure to sensitive data environments, stakeholder engagement, and the opportunity to contribute to national security initiatives.Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse open-source and sensitive data feeds to identify patterns, trends, and emerging threats.
- Develop and manage reporting processes to ensure timely and accurate outputs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across security and policy divisions to improve analytic procedures.
- Support senior staff with data preparation, enhancement, visualisation, and presentation.
- Contribute to change initiatives around data governance and security operations.
- Draft and present material to improve data and analytic capabilities.
- Perform other duties as directed by the Project Officer.
You're a recent graduate with strong analytical skills and a collaborative mindset. You're comfortable working with data and communicating insights to diverse stakeholders.Mandatory Requirements:
- Degree in Information Technology, Security Studies, Business, Commerce, or related fields.
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to contribute to team goals and support senior staff.
- Australian citizenship with NV2 clearance or ability to obtain one.
- Familiarity with SQL, Power BI, Python, or other data tools.
- Experience in or with Federal Government environments.
- Working knowledge of MS Visio, HyperTerminal, and IP networks.
- Exposure to analytical or programming software (e.g. Python, Ruby, Splunk).
