With a focus on technology development and sustainability, our client provide integrated solutions to meet diverse energy challenges.Job DescriptionAs a Tax Advisor, you will ensure timely tax return preparation, review, and submission while liaising with tax authorities. You will be responsible for tax provisions, corporate tax submissions, and international tax matters, ensuring compliance with company policies and initiatives across ANZ, Timor Leste and PNG regions. This role will also require strong communication skills and ability to provide advice to the business relating to tax matters. A strong background and knowledge of tax legislation and previous experience working with significant global entities or inbound tax teams will be highly regarded.0 to 6 months:
  • Ensure timely preparation, review, and submission of tax returns
  • Handle enquiries from tax authorities, providing necessary documentation and information.
  • Assist in preparing accurate tax provisions in-line with statutory requirements
  • Collaborate with wider finance team to fulfil US GAAP tax accounting requirements
6 to 12 months:
  • Responsible for the review and submission of accurate corporate tax returns.
  • Assist in developing and implementing strategies to optimise tax efficiency and minimise risk.
  • Advise and support on tax-related matters, fostering cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Working with the Tax Manager to advise the business on potential impacts and adjustments to tax laws and regulations.
12 to 24 months:
  • Lead initiatives to streamline tax processes and enhance efficiency within the organisation.
  • Provide expert advice on complex international tax issues, leveraging knowledge of local regulations and global best practices.
  • Support the development and implementation of transfer pricing policies and documentation.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of tax compliance procedures, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.

The Successful Applicant
  • CA/ CPA Qualified with 3 to 5 years experience
  • Previous experience in Big4/ Mid-Tier is highly regarded.
  • Australian corporate and income tax with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously
