ICT Security Systems Engineer and Analytics Specialist - RFQ-ASD-52-2024 - SOW 1 - OriginalDue to the nature of clients we work with here at Kinexus and the projects these roles will be based on, an Australian Government Top Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) clearance is essential.These opportunities do not have the ability to obtain sponsorship for a security clearance (including applicants who currently hold a security clearance seeking to upgrade).ABOUT THIS ROLEExperienced Security Systems Engineer and Analytics Specialist required to develop and enhance ASD ICT security systems. The service provider will be responsible for engineering activities and tasks relating to requirements development, system definition, design and development, integration, verification and validation. This role will include responsibility for implementation of major analytic-driven activities to meet required business outcomes.The Specified Person will be expected to demonstrate attributes of SFIA Level of Responsibility 5.Current Top-Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) security clearance is strongly preferred, however candidates who have held a TSPV in the previous 12-month period (which has since been downgraded) may be considered.ABOUT THE COMPANYAustralian Signals Directorate (ASD) is the federal agency responsible for foreign signals intelligence, cyber warfare and information security. ASD's purpose is to defend Australia from global threats and help advance our national interests.Situated in Canberra, ASD employs over 2000 TSPV cleared workers. ASD's workforce is growing rapidly. Areas of growth include PMO, cyber security, systems administration and engineering, software development and network engineering.A top-security, complex and highly technical environment, ASD plays a vital role in the defence of Australia. Long contracts (12 months+) available.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Execute systems engineering tasks in the design, development, deployment and sustainment of security capabilities.
Develop complex analytics across large and varied datasets to achieve insights and answer security-based business requirements.
Deliver technical visualisation of proposed applications for approval by customer and execution by system developers.
Establish use cases, procedures and technical documentation to ensure delivery of security services.
Engage with stakeholders to confirm that services meet the service acceptance criteria and are to the required standard.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE NEEDED

Australian Citizenship and a TSPV security clearance is essential.
Proven knowledge of information security principles, practices and technologies.
DESIRABLE: Experience with ICT security applications such as a SIEM (e.g. Arcsight, Splunk), and data analytic platforms.
DESIRABLE: Experience with Windows and Windows security tools
DESIRABLE: Experience with *nix systems and *nix security tools
