- High quality project delivery: Demonstrate high-quality communications and engagement, evidenced by positive client and project team feedback. Ensure best practice technical delivery in line with Commonwealth and state policies and legislations. Actively share knowledge with team members to support the technical delivery on other projects.
- Relationship and business development activities: Build and take ownership of relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders to increase the visibility of the Section, actively seek opportunities to position our services during Opening and Middle Game and lead the preparation of End Game business development activities, including attending client pitches.
- Thought leadership: Lead thought leadership initiatives to position Jacobs as a leading provider of contemporary communication and engagement services. Coach others in the team to develop skills and confidence in thought leadership.
- Mentoring junior staff: Be proactive in mentoring other team members to contribute to continual improvement and excellent client service.
- Positive team culture: Demonstrate a positive and 'can do' attitude, ensuring alignment with Jacobs values.
- Biodiversity Assessment Method (BAM) accredited.
- Degree in a relevant science discipline (ecology, environmental science, natural resource management).
- Experience in the delivery of ecology projects with a focus on flora survey, preferably in the Sydney Bioregion (NSW).
- Experience in, and desire to be involved in business development.
- Willingness to undertake intra or interstate travel, including the occasional extended trip (negotiable).
- Highly developed report writing skills.
