This role would be ideal for an R&D scientist with radioisotope separation, production and processing experience.Duties will include:
- Perform R&D to produce Th-228 isotopes for the production of radiopharmaceuticals.
- Provide scientific and technical expertise to support the growth of the Th-228 production program, from method development on the purification and handling of Th-228 and translation into an automated process.
- Assist in developing chemical, radiochemical and radionuclide characterisation methods.
- As an SME you will support all aspects of downstream production including but not limited to radiochemical separations and processing, isotope purification, SOP development, training isotope production operators on the technology and processes.
- BSc, MSc, PhD in chemistry, or relevant field with analytical or radiochemistry experience
- Experience with radionuclide/radiopharmaceutical development and/or production preferred.
- Recent and relevant experience with HPGe, ICPMS and HPGe Spectrometry
- Experience with separations and solid-phase extractions or automation.
- Experience with alpha/beta/gamma emitting radionuclides preferred.
- Highly motivated, organised and multi-disciplined radiochemist with the ability to work both with a team and independently.
- This is a full time permanent role.
- The generous salary will be dependent on experience, plus bonus scheme.
