This role involves conducting diagnostic inspections, preparing technical and expert reports, and overseeing remedial work in compliance with Australian building standards. You will provide critical consultancy services, ensuring buildings meet structural integrity and regulatory requirements.Key Responsibilities
- Conduct onsite diagnostic inspections and forensic investigations to assess building defects.
- Prepare Technical Building Reports, Expert Reports, and Remedial Scopes of Work.
- Develop tender documents, scopes of work, and remedial design plans for structural repairs.
- Perform contract administration, including site inspections, progress assessments, and compliance reporting.
- Liaise with clients and stakeholders to provide professional advice on remedial engineering matters.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and manage time allocation efficiently.
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or related field).
- Extensive knowledge of Australian Standards, NCC, and Home Building regulations.
- Experience in forensic investigations, defect analysis, and remedial works.
- Previous consultancy experience is highly desirable.
- Ability to interpret architectural and structural plans accurately.
- Strong report writing and communication skills.
- Ability to work across multiple projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and design software.
- Physically fit – must be able to access different building areas, including confined spaces.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to transport a lightweight ladder when required.
