You will undertake clinical assessment of an allocated caseload and contribute as a senior member to the functioning of a multi-disciplinary team. Your role will plan, coordinate, implement and evaluate social work interventions for children with or at significant risk of developmental delay, with a team context.You will have the opportunity to embody the CAHS Values and make a real difference by providing safe quality care through expertise and teamwork.About the Child Development Service: The Child Development Service provides multidisciplinary assessment and intervention services to infant, children and young people with developmental delay or difficulties that impact on function, participation and/or the parent-child relationship.Clinicians adopt a child and family-centred approach, working in partnership with families to address developmental concerns that are of priority to the family.Our teams include Clinical Psychologists, Developmental Paediatricians, Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Social Workers, Speech Pathologists and other allied health professionals.The Child Development Service provides services at approximately 18 locations across the metropolitan Perth area, as well as providing home, school and community visits as needed.Visit to find out more about the benefits of working for CAHS – Community Health and our services.Eligibility to Apply: Australian citizenship or permanent residency is an essential requirement for applicants to be considered for permanent positions in the public sector. For your written application please provide the following:To be considered for this role, you must have tertiary qualifications in Social Work and be eligible for registration for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.

- Do you currently have tertiary qualifications in Social Work which make you eligible for registration as a full member of the Australian Association of Social Workers. (Refers to Essential Criteria 1).
- Please provide a detailed demonstration of your advanced skills in individual therapy and group work practice with children and families, utilising your specialist knowledge of social work theory, practice and policy in the areas of child development and child abuse. (Refers to Essential Criterions 2 & 3).
- Describe your demonstrated knowledge and experience in senior level caseload management, administrative skills and working within a multidisciplinary team, using your highly developed interpersonal and communication skills. (Refers to Essential Criterions 4, 5 & 6).
- Describe your ongoing commitment to professional development, including your knowledge of legislative and other regulatory requirements in the areas of equity and diversity, disability services and occupational health and safety and their impact on employment, people management and service delivery. (Refers to Essential Criterions 7 & 8).
- A current resume which summarises your experience and includes both phone and email contact details of two professional referees, with at least one being a recent supervisor/line manager.
