Our communities form our heartland.About the RoleWe are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager – Electrical Engineering & Operational Technology to lead the strategic development and delivery of electrical and OT capability across our operations.As part of the Technology Leadership Team, this role helps drive OT/IT convergence in line with Tassal’s Blueprint and 2030 Technology Roadmap. You'll play a vital part in shaping how advanced electrical systems, automation, and digital technologies work together to improve safety, performance, and sustainability outcomes.You may come from an automation, engineering, industrial control systems, or systems integration background — and now be ready to lead projects end-to-end while building and developing a high-performing team. If you're motivated by creating long-term value through connected, intelligent systems — this role offers you that platform.Key ResponsibilitiesLead engineering management for the department infrastructure including HV power systems oversite.Oversee project management from scope definition to execution and operational readiness.Ensure participation occurs during commissioning to ensure operational effectivenessDrive delivery of commercially beneficial outcomes aligned with strategic objectives.Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Ensure compliance with safety standards and contribute to Tassal’s Zero Harm initiative.Provide effective leadership in team engagement, contractor management, and reporting.Oversee and mentor a team of highly skilled technical engineers - develop and execute team and /or engagement strategies.Deliver and support decarbonisation initiativesSkills & ExperienceRelevant engineering qualification with desirable experience across HV/LV, energy consumption, automation, operational technology, cybersecurity, OT/IT networks and autonomous systems.Minimum 5 years’ experience in a leadership role within electrical engineering or operational technology.Proven project and operational management expertise and commercial acumen.Strong knowledge of electrical design, installation, and commissioning processesExcellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.Proficiency in MS Office Suite and project management tools.Demonstrated ability to lead transformation and foster innovation.What We OfferA leadership role in a purpose-driven organisation.Career progression, including training and LinkedIn LearningDiscount on private health insuranceEmployee Assistance Program for you and your immediate familyPaid birthday leave (on your day!) and;Heavily discounted seafood (dependent on location!)Who are we?We are an employer of choice with a diverse national footprint spanning from Dover in the far south of Tasmania, to Mission Beach in tropical North Queensland and to Cone Bay in Western Australia.
