Microsoft SQL Developer

• The successful candidate will fulfil the following responsibilities -
• Participate in requirements analysis, familiarize with existing code base and understand current architecture to provide software solutions and/or fixing issues.
• Translate data requirements to technical solutions
• Write clean, scalable code/stored procedures in MS SQL.
• Test and deploy applications and systems
• Revise, update, refactor and debug code
• Improve existing software
• Develop documentation throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC)
• Respond to requests from business / stakeholders and record them in timely fashion using enterprise tools.
• Perform advance database queries using SQL
• Resolution of assigned task in a timely fashion and escalation where necessary.
• Maintain and follow appropriate standards.

• 2 to 5 years of experience as a SQL developer in Microsoft environment.
• Need a bright and eager to learn candidate for this role
• Some exposure/understanding of banking/capital market
• Balance sheet management exposure: great plus
• Technical knowledge of writing complex queries/stored procedures.
• Understanding of data architecture and advanced data analysis skills
• Good communication skills. Must be able to understand requirements and explain technical solutions to business stakeholders and the team.
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills. Able to investigate, analyse and troubleshoot tasks.
• Experience in query optimization.
• Familiarity with SSI packages for integration and execution of the stored procedure.
• Track record of data analysis and writing SQL queries/stored procedure in large-scale applications and transformations.

• Basic knowledge of click view and control M is beneficial but not mandatory. • A track record working as a developer in the Financial Service Industry and/or Treasury function or exposure to loans, interest rates, balance sheet related applications/datasets is desirable but not mandatory.
