Eligibility: Open to EveryoneWe are currently seeking applications for a Team Leader, Payment Strategies, to join RevenueSA, Debt Management Services at The Department of Treasury & Finance for a period of 3 yearsRemuneration: ASO6 – Salary Range ($98 478 - $104 165 p.a.).About the opportunity:Reporting to the Manager, Payment Strategies, the Team Leader, Payment Strategies is responsible for leading a high-performing team in delivering complex debt recovery and enforcement activities. This role involves managing high-value debt matters, overseeing enforcement campaigns, and driving continuous improvement in debt recovery processes.The Team Leader also provides expert guidance on complex taxpayer issues, engages with key stakeholders including legal representatives, and negotiates payment arrangements to ensure outstanding debts are effectively recovered. Through strong leadership and strategic oversight, this position plays a critical role in enhancing operational effectiveness and compliance within RevenueSA.About youYou are a proven leader with experience building collaborative, high-performing teams and fostering a culture of trust, accountability, and continuous improvement. You bring demonstrated knowledge of debt recovery and enforcement processes within a regulatory environment.You communicate confidently with diverse stakeholders and can clearly convey complex information in both written and verbal forms. Your approach is analytical and practical, with the ability to solve complex problems and implement scalable solutions while working effectively under pressure. You are also proficient in using reporting and data tools to support operational decision-making and performance monitoring.To be successful you will be:
- Experienced in the development, implementation and evaluation of best practice policies, procedures, strategies and/or initiatives.
- Able to work independently, under limited direction.
- Skilled in task prioritisation, delegation, and maintaining performance during peak periods.
- Have an understanding of debt collection legislation, risk management principles, and workplace health and safety obligations.
- Demonstrated experience working within a regulatory environment, using sound judgement to manage complex debt recovery matters and legal processes.
