Glencore’s McArthur River Mine (MRM) is a world-class zinc-lead mine with a long future. You’ll find our mine in the Gulf of Carpentaria 900 km southeast of Darwin and 64 km from Borroloola. We produce and process zinc, lead and silver from our open cut mine. It is then stored and transported to our Bing Bong loading facility and shipped to our customers worldwide. Accountabilities:

Responsible for undertaking role to deliver the weekly plan to a high quality.
Responsible for the load, haul, and dump of broken rock to a designated location.
Responsible for the performance of pre-start checks and hazard identification.
Responsible for the communication of accurate and timely information to Mine Dispatch Coordinator, Supervisor, and Assistant Supervisor, as appropriate.
Responsible for following safety practices and procedures when undertaking work.
Responsible for the identification of continuous improvement opportunities
Responsible for behaving in line with Glencore values including actively participating in training and development activities.
Responsible for following environment practices and procedures when undertaking work.

Requirements:

Strong commitment to safety.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
Valid drivers license.
Competencies RIIMPO338D – Conduct Rigid Haul Truck Operations.
Previous experience as a production truck operator, 789s and 793s preferable.
