Accountable to the Supervisor: UG Mechanical Maintenance.This role is based at the Tropicana Gold Mine on an 8/6 FIFO roster, we operate direct flights to our sites from Perth and Kalgoorlie.Accountabilities:

Carrying out maintenance tasks in the underground area as directed by Maintenance Supervisors,
Always act in a manner that seeks to enhance the safety culture and performance and ensures that the Values are adhered to at all times.
Maintaining UG and in pit dewatering pumping systems, Compressors, Primary ventilation, refuge chambers and fixed plant assets underground and in the mining areas.
Availability to work a callout roster basis to respond to any equipment breakdowns.

About YouPeople are at the heart of everything we do. We want you to collaborate with us, share your ideas and feel confident to challenge the status quo. To be considered, we would like to see you have:

A commitment to working safely
A relevant Mechanical trade qualification as either a fitter and machinist, automotive or heavy diesel fitter, fitter welder or similar with proven fitting experience.
Experience in the maintenance of pumping and ventilation systems or heavy industrial plants preferably with experience in the mining industry.
The ability to work underground and in pit locations
The ability to work as part of a Multi-skilled Workforce
Computer literacy
Possession of Mobile crane CN, dogging DG, Rigger basic RB, Elevated work platform WP and Forklift LF high risk work licenses highly regarded
Current Confined space entry & Working at heights certificate
Current C Class Drivers License
Existing working rights in Australia (mandatory)
