Position SummaryAdult Access Clinician
  • Opportunity for Occupational Therapist Grade 2; Psychologist Grade 2, Social Worker Grade 2, Registred Nurse Grade 3
  • Permanent Full time/ Permanent Part time, Temporary to Nov 2024 part or full time secondment - multiple positions available
  • Rostered position 2 shifts AM/PM. Night shifts required in Emergency departments
  • Base in Forest Hill in conjunction with working out of either Box Hill ED or Angliss and Maroondah EDs

We provide a range of emergency, surgical, medical and general healthcare services, including maternity, palliative care, mental health, drug and alcohol, residential care, community health and state-wide specialist services to people and communities that are diverse in culture, age, socio-economic status, population and healthcare needs.About the roleAdult Access program provides crisis community services across the Outer Eastern Region oF Melbourne, along with a 24hr phone triage service, Mental Health Emergency Department response in the Box Hill, Maroondah and the Angliss Emergency departments, Ambulance Victoria teleprompt service and Mental Health and Police Response for the Eastern regionThis position operates across the acute community outreach assessments and treatment (CATT) service, phone triage service (7.30 - 10.30pm) & Mental Health Emergency Department Response team (AM/PM/Night duty). It is a great opportunity to develop mental health assessment and treatment skills across a range of settings. The Access Program prioritises learning and growth and positions are well supported. Each clinician is rostered 2 non-direct clinical days per roster (full time staff - pro rata for part time staff). These days can be iutilised for training opportunities (formal/ informal), service development or research development.About youTo be successful in this role you will possess:
  • Current registration with AHPRA or relevant professional body
  • Experience in a range of mental health settings as per position description
  • Post Graduate qualifications relevant to role
  • Highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience
  • A strong commitment to high quality care
  • The ability to work as part of a diverse team
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
