- Undertake studies of production processes for the identification of productivity and efficiency improvement, loss reduction, cost savings and troubleshooting of issues.
- Consult with Production, R&D, Maintenance, Quality, Safety, in the scoping and development of assigned projects.
- Write project specifications, develop project cost estimates and prepare capital expenditure requests.
- Engage key stakeholders to facilitate the successful implementation of projects & initiatives.
- Obtain quotations from equipment suppliers and installation contractors.
- Undertake project procurement, issue purchase orders, negotiate and manage contracts.
- Manage contractors' work on site to the highest possible levels of safety by ensuring they work and comply with Bulla safety systems and processes.
- Manage projects to scope, time and budget as planned in the approved capital expenditure request.
- Prepare progress reports and provide input to financial reporting.
- Either a degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics or an A-Grade electrician trade certificate,
- A proven commitment to safety and willingness to engage in and promote Bulla's safety culture,
- A solid knowledge of AS/NZS3000 and other electrical installation standards required to ensure safe and compliant electrical installations,
- Experience in design and specification of electrical and automation projects, tendering and evaluation of contractor proposals,
- Previous experience in managing external contractors and systems integrators, supervising electrical installation works and plant commissioning
- Proficiency in Ignition by Inductive Automation and Sepasoft MES modules. Bulla has significant projects in the pipeline utilizing these platforms,
- Experience with SQL Databases,
- Competent in Python scripting
- Experience working with Siemens PLC programming packages using Step 7 classic and TIA Portal,
- Experience working with Siemens WinCC,
- Experience working with Allen Bradley Rslogix500 and Studio5000 packages,
- Experience working with Allen Bradley PanelView products and Factory Talk View,
- Experience working with Industrial Automation and Control System Networks, including ProfiNet and Ethernet/IP protocols,
- Experience with configuration and commissioning of Variable Speed Drives,
- Experience with Batching systems and ISA-88 methodologies,
- Designing and commissioning of ASI and IO link systems,
- Possess a solid understanding of best practice electrical installations in food industry environments,
- Project management experience,
