We are seeking a hands-on, mechanically minded Tool Maker to join our client's team in Logan. In this full-time, on-site role, you will be responsible for assembling roll forming machines and their components, working closely with a supportive team and reporting directly to the Assembly Supervisor. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Interpreting and working from technical drawings and blueprints.
- Assembling and fitting hydraulic and pneumatic components.
- Building press tools, guillotines, and other machine attachments.
- Installing machine components and conducting quality control checks.
- Troubleshooting and resolving any assembly issues that arise.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Roll Forming experience or knowledge is essential
- The ability to read and understand detailed technical drawings.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
- Solid mechanical assembly skills.
- Experience with assembling press tools and guillotines.
- Proficiency in using machine tools such as lathes and milling machines. Experience with CNC machines is a plus.
- A current Driver’s Licence.
- A current Forklift Licence is an advantage.
