The Opportunity:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our team in Parramatta. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Fortinet devices and a strong background in network architecture, security, and administration. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability.Key Responsibilities:

Design, configure, deploy, and manage functional network infrastructure (LAN, WLAN, WAN) using Fortinet and other devices.
Monitor network performance and integrity, ensuring high availability and reliability.
Troubleshoot and resolve network issues escalated by support teams.
Implement and oversee security measures, including access authentication and disaster recovery.
Automate network tasks and monitor their effectiveness.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to the other network engineers.
Maintain comprehensive technical documentation of network configurations and changes.
Collaborate with other IT teams to support network services and ensure seamless integration.
Stay current with industry trends and best practices in network engineering and security.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Network Engineer, with a focus on Fortinet devices.
Professional certifications such as Fortinet NSE, CCNP, or equivalent.
In-depth understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF) and security principles.
Strong troubleshooting skills and experience with network diagnostic tools.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational and mentoring skills.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with network automation and scripting (Python, Perl).
Familiarity with cloud networking technologies.
Knowledge of network monitoring and analysis tools such as Auvik
