Grampians Health is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Social Worker for the role of Grade 2 Intake Counsellor/Advocate at the Ballarat Centre Against Sexual Assault. This is a permanent full time role working 80 hours per fortnight with a monthly ADO.Primary clinical responsibilities include participating as a member of the CASA intake team in taking referrals, intake assessments, advocacy, safety planning and brief intervention counselling to people who have experienced sexual assault and their family members. This role also entails participation in the CASA after-hours roster.Sound knowledge and experience in undertaking psychosocial assessments, well developed communication skills and the ability to work well in the pursuit of client and team needs and goals are required. Experience in working in community and healthcare settings with an emphasis on sexual assault and family violence would be a highly regarded attribute.You will enjoy a friendly place to work where there is a strong commitment to providing high quality evidence-based trauma-informed care.   • Essential : Please detail your knowledge and understanding of issues surrounding sexual assault and the short- and long-term effects on victim/survivors.
  • Essential : Do you hold a Degree in Social Work, with eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers or equivalent? Please attach evidence of this with your application.
  • Desirable : Do you have a minimum of 5 years' experience in intake service provision, counselling, single-session work, casework and/or case management? Please detail this.
  • Desirable : Please detail your demonstrated ability to work effectively across the CASA target group.
  • Essential : Please detail your demonstrated ability to monitor, evaluate and modify own performance.
  • Essential : Please detail your knowledge of Victorian Mandatory Reporting requirements, MARAM, Child Safe Standards.
  • Desirable : Please detail your experience in Supervision of Junior Staff and ability to provide supervision of Social Work and Welfare students on placement.
  • Essential : Have you received three doses of a COVID19 vaccine? If no, please provide further detail regarding doses received, booking dates and/or other relevant information.
  • Essential : The successful candidate must hold, or be prepared to undergo, an employee Working with Children Check (WWCC). Please advise if you currently hold an employee WWCC, if not are you willing to undergo one?
