The lecturer’s primary role is to teach, facilitate learning, assess and mentor students in accordance with relevant curriculum and/or training package requirements. Lecturers also undertake Professional Activities and Activities Related to Delivery.In order to maintain quality educational services, lecturers are required to keep abreast of technological and other developments in their field through professional development to provide up-to-date information and advice to the College and industry, where appropriate.To be successful in this role you must be able to demonstrate their competency and currency directly related to the Skills for Study module selected (Study and Work, Language Literacy Numeracy and Digital Skills and Vocational Skills). This must be documented as part of the lecturer’s Trainer and Assessor Competency Matrix (TACM).The Skills for Study lecturer responsible for delivering modules in the Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital Skills (LLND) stream must also hold: * a primary or secondary teaching degree which enables registration with the WA Teachers Registration Board.or * a post graduate specialisation in the following:
- Master of Education (TESOL)
- Graduate Diploma of Adult Language, Literacy and Numeracy Practice
- Other post-graduate LLND specialisation as deemed suitable by Quality Managers.
