We will overcome the climate challenge by supporting policy development, public education on climate urgency and demonstrating what a successful transition looks like domesticallyJob DescriptionReporting to the Senior Manager, Climate Action, you will actively contribute to a high-performing team and drive impact by working productively and efficiently, collaborating closely with other Focus & Enabler areas as part of our matrix structure and championing our One Minderoo Culture. Focusing on partners, stakeholders and beneficiaries to execute an impactful strategy aligned with Minderoo’s strategic objectives. As the Advisor, Real Zero, you will identify, on-board and work with partners to drive initiatives to phase-out of fossil fuels, accelerate Australia’s transition to clean energy and grow green industries and exports. You will help shape, launch and manage workstreams that achieve Real Zero outcomes while maximising climate and community benefits.You will

Source and secure strategic partnerships that advance Minderoo’s Climate strategy, leading end-to-end drafting and negotiation of high impact grants and service agreements.
Own and grow partner relationships, tracking outcomes against KPIs and budgets, and delivering compelling impact reporting that informs executive decision-making.
Shape global moments by coordinating partner inputs alongside Minderoo’s Enabler Areas at events such as UNGA, COP30/31 and more, ensuring science and evidence drive influence and visibility.
Lead ecosystem analysis to identify capacity gaps and emerging needs, recommending agile resourcing and partnership responses in a dynamic landscape.
Champion collaboration across the One Minderoo Culture, sharing intelligence and unlocking synergies across Natural Ecosystems and Enabler Areas to maximise impact

QualificationsYou will bring

Expertise regarding climate, energy, environmental studies or similar.
Proven track record with 3-5 years’ experience delivering and/or managing clean energy, decarbonisation, green energy or similar programs in government, industry or the not-for-profit sector.
Some experience in navigating the intersection of politics, industry and civil society within Australia’s evolving climate landscape.
Ability to work collaboratively in a matrixed environment, including an ability to reconcile multiple diverse viewpoints and communicate across internal partners and external stakeholders (private, public, academic, etc).
Expertise in delivering on strategic goals whilst demonstrating agility to adapt plans as needed to respond to new information or needs.
