Natural Areas Officer

• Minimum of one year experience in an environmental or agricultural field-based role.
• Be physically fit, self-motivated and able to work in a team environment.
• Ability to work outside and in rough terrain.
• Ability to take direction and report on the delivery of tasks.
• A willingness to be a proactive and positive team member.
• Demonstrated ability in the correct use and maintenance of a variety of hand tools and field equipment.
• Practical knowledge of work health and safety policies and procedures, risk management practice and principles.

• Current Certificate I or III in Conservation and Ecosystem Management (equivalent certification will be considered).
• Sound knowledge & identification of weeds & weed control methods.
• Sound knowledge of planting methodology, and experience in planting.

• Chainsaw level 1 licence.
• Chainsaw level 2 licence (optional).
• Current ACDC licence.
• Construction White Card.
• Current Driver's licence and ability to start work on-site in your own vehicle when required.
