Skilled Maintenance Assistant Full-Time

• Costco Wholesale Moorabbin
• Rotating roster which will include weekend work and starts from 5am or finishing as late as 11pm.

• Cleans warehouse floors, offices, break room, and restrooms by operating self - propelled floor scrubbing machinery, and by sweeping, mopping, spraying, and wiping. Follows departmental procedures and standards for cleanliness and performance duties. Restocks supplies.
• Empties garbage from designated areas throughout the warehouse. Pulls merchandise slip sheets and loose cardboard from sales floor. Operates garbage compactor and cardboard baler.
• Checks daily schedule for assigned routine task and maintenance repair jobs.
• Follows safety and security procedures, such as tagging and locking off power access when working on electrical equipment, wearing safety goggles when using compactor and baler, product disposal. Responds quickly to clean up spills.
• Cleans and maintains grounds and building, performs roof checks
• Checks daily schedule for assigned tasks, construction, maintenance and repair jobs
• Follows proper Maintenance and general safety and security procedures, such as tagging power access when working

• Maintains grounds outside warehouse including blowing leaves,picking up litter, roof checks, and building maintenance.
• Performs routine maintenance and repairs for warehouse
• Builds and repairs fixtures, structures and displays
• Measures, cuts, affixes, shapes, sands, and paints various materials
• Purchases supplies and parts for maintenance and repair jobs
• Repairs plumbing problems, installs and maintains plumbing fixtures
• If licensed, repairs electrical systems, installs and replaces defective switches, wiring and fixtures
• Participates in janitorial duties
• Follows departmental standards for cleanliness and performance of duties
• Responds quickly to clean up spills
• Provides prompt and courteous member service.
• Assists in other areas of the warehouse as necessary

• Hand tools, pressure washer, floor scrubber, leaf blower, private vehicle, power tools, trash compactor, cardboard baler

• Assists with front end duties as necessary.
• Assists in other departments of the warehouse as necessary.
