I have an exceptional opportunity available for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer with an industry-leading geotechnical and environmental consulting firm. Heading into the new year they have been given the go ahead on several exciting and innovative projects.About the Role
Throughout this growth phase, they are expanding both their capabilities and market share and therefore need a high calibre geotechnical engineer with at least 8 years of experience to assist with their growing clientele.
This is an excellent opportunity for a practically minded engineer who enjoys a mixture of outdoor work, analysis and report writing. The ideal candidate not only has to have the technical knowledge and understanding but can also liaise with existing clients, understand their requirements and work with them to deliver positive outcomes with a timely manner.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Preparing winning tenders and proposals.
- Planning and coordinating field investigations for a wide variety of medium to large scale residential / commercial / industrial / infrastructure projects.
- Coordination and oversight of site inspection / testing / monitoring services for construction sites for a range of earthworks, pavements, deep excavation, building, road and rail projects.
- Completion or direction of analysis and problem-solving using software such as Slope/W, WALLAP and CIRCLY to facilitate geotechnical and civil designs.
- Writing technical memoranda, letters and reports to a high standard, as expected by our clients.
- Business development, client development and management.
- Mentoring of other geotechnical professionals within the geotechnical team
