The Team:Set near a picturesque Tasmanian coastline, the North West Regional Hospital, Burnie is a 160-bed facility and is the principal referral centre for the North West Tasmanian community and provides general medicine, surgical (including orthopaedic), intensive care, cancer services, paediatric services, outpatient clinics and specialist services. The hospital has close ties with the University of Tasmania through the Rural Clinical School and with TAFE Tasmania thus providing opportunities for comprehensiveThe NWRH Theatre is a vibrant, supportive team consisting of four operating theatres providing Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, General Surgery, ENT, Endoscopy and Dental services. NWRH Theatre is committed to a positive workplace culture, and excellent clinical care within a supportive environment. NWRH Theatres have a dedicated leadership and education team to support all learning and development needs.The Role:
  • Timely and efficient management and rotation of stock and non-stock consumables and other supply items, to support and maintain an efficient surgical service at NWRH Operating Theatres.
  • Cross check and unpack store deliveries with management of receipts and issues relating to computerised stock management.
You will need:
  • Organisational skills pertaining to stock procurement and replenishment with knowledge of medical consumables and the perioperative environment.
  • Ability to work within a dynamic team, including working directly with the Nurse Unit Manager and respond to critical situations in a timely manner.
  • Sound knowledge of OH&S standards within a perioperative environment.

Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
