- Manage and assess accident and health claims from start to resolution.
- Review medical records and policy documentation to determine eligibility and liability.
- Conduct investigations, liaise with policyholders, claimants, and healthcare providers.
- Communicate with stakeholders to gather information and clarify claims details.
- Make informed settlement decisions within authority limits.
- Ensure compliance with policies, legislation, and internal claims processes.
- Guide and support other claims staff with technical queries or complex cases.
- Contribute insights to improve claims processes and mitigate risk.
- 3+ years’ experience in accident & health insurance claims, or similar experience within Workers Comp, CTP, Life insurance, Loss of income, Financial Lines or Injury management.
- Strong understanding of policy language, claims legislation, and medical terminology.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Familiar with claims management systems and software.
