This is an incredible opportunity to work on a $250 million dewatering project for one of WA's top mining companies.Initial 12 month contract with possibility to extend, based in Perth CBD.The planner will ensure effective project governance, realistic schedules, and accurate forecasting.Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain detailed schedules aligned with project goals and contractual obligations.
  • Review and challenge contractor schedules for logic, duration, milestones, and resource allocation.
  • Support tender evaluations by assessing proposed schedules and methodologies.
  • Conduct scenario planning and resource levelling to identify and mitigate scheduling risks.
  • Lead planning meetings, document decisions, and ensure follow-through.
  • Validate project assumptions to maintain achievable timelines.
  • Monitor progress, identify deviations, and manage changes through structured processes.
  • Integrate inputs across construction, commissioning, and interface activities.
  • Deliver accurate schedule forecasts and reports to leadership.
Qualifications & Experience
  • 5+ years in project planning and scheduling, with solid project management foundations.
  • Experience in capital projects within mining, infrastructure, or resources—ideally including dewatering.
  • Proven ability to assess and improve contractor schedules.
  • Strong skills in scenario planning, resource levelling, and critical path analysis.
  • Familiarity with tender review processes and scheduling methodologies.
  • Proficient in Primavera P6, MS Project, and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of change management and schedule risk analysis.
